Work Experience / Work Placement:

Work Experience is an integral part of all QQI Level 5 and Level 6 courses.

Many local employers provide work experience opportunities to our students. Some partake in work experience throughout the academic year, others in block placement ranging from 2 to 4 weeks. While on placement all students are fully insured by the college. Students are advised and encouraged to find their own placement, simulating real life, but (for level 5 courses) the placement may be supported by college staff.

There are a number of Work Experience/Work Placement co-ordinators here in the college. Every course is assigned to one of these co-ordinators. Students get an induction at the beginning of the course where relevant information about work experience, relevant documents and the procedure for work experience for the course, is given out, as well as contact details for the work experience co-ordinators for your course.
