Computer Science & Information Technology Department:
Cork College of FET’s Computer Science and Information Technology Department is headquartered at our Morrison’s Island Campus, and within this Campus and other Campuses and centres across Cork, delivers a wide range of courses at Levels 5 and 6 that are designed to deliver the knowledge and skills required in the diverse and fast changing world of information technology.
We are all aware of how computers and technology influences and shapes our lives, from the smartphone in our pocket to the self service check out desks in the supermarket, to the computers we use to read our emails and write our reports.
The range of courses offered, including software design, networking skills, programming and cyber security, provide graduates with the knowledge and skills essential for a career in this fast moving and digital world.
Many graduates use these courses as the basis for further studies, either in FET or in Higher Education, or alternatively step directly into the world of work on completion.
