Early Learning & Care

{

Starting an online course was very daunting but this course was something I always wanted to do and being in the middle of a pandemic was the perfect time. I have to say my tutor Niamh was excellent she always supported me and nothing was problem I was guided through the assignments and was always met with a supportive attitude and a can do attitude.

I would definitely do an online course again as I found this was such a positive experience. I have been gone from education for 22 years and this course has given me the desire to keep learning.

Attending Cork College of Commerce this past year has been one of the most challenging but gratifying experiences of my life.
Completing this college year at home has been quite difficult for me, but it has been great thanks to the support and assistance of all of the early years teachers.
It was challenging for everyone, students and teachers alike, but there was always someone there to help.
College of Commerce has been a fantastic experience, and I am looking forward to returning for another year in the hopes of getting a real college experience.

“Two years ago I was extremely upset when I realised I did not have enough points for Early Childhood Studies. I then made the best decision I could have made and decided to go to Morrison’s Island Campus. For the last two years I have been studying Early Years level 5 and 6. During my time in the college every lecturer I had was extremely helpful and cared about every student in their class and helped each one to achieve their goals. I am delighted to say my goal was achieved as I received a second year offer to Waterford Institute of Technology to further my studies in Early Childhood Studies and receive a level 8 degree. I would highly recommend Morrison’s Island Campus to anyone.”

“After finishing this course, I applied for positions to work as a nanny. I am currently working now as a full time nanny in the U.K. This was a great course, and it definitely prepared me for getting this job, as I knew so much about activities for children and had a great awareness of caring for young babies.”
