The SCOLDP is delivered on-site in Cork College of FET (Morrison’s Island Campus) within the classroom.

What are the minimum entry requirements for this programme?2022-05-01T13:59:48+01:00

A Leaving Certificate, LCA or QQI Level 4. Mature students are exempt from Leaving Certificate requirement. All applicants will undergo a processing stage during which further information will be gathered in relation to their application. An offer of a place on this course is contingent on the applicant meeting the entry requirements set out here and satisfactory completion of the processing stage.

How many days per week is this full-time course, what should I expect?2022-05-01T14:00:25+01:00

Teaching occurs from 9.00am to 5.00pm, Monday to Thursday and from 9.00am to 2.00pm on Fridays. Classes are of one hour duration. Work experience is timetabled one day a week.

Starting times may be later than 9.00am and finishing times may be earlier than 5.00pm.

Individual class timetables are not available until Induction (usually 1st or 2nd week in September.

The duration of the full-time day course is one academic year, typically from mid-September until mid-May. The college closes for Mid-term, Christmas and Easter holidays as determined by the Department of Education and Skills.

€300 including QQI examination fees (€50). Medical card holders exempt from the €50. NON- EU FEE €3,654 + €300/€250 (for medical card holders).

Does the course offer a Student Visa for International Students?2022-05-01T14:03:10+01:00

No. Please note that it is the responsibility of the applicant to ensure that they meet Immigration and Visa requirements prior to applying for a place on a course.
