Mature applicants are very welcome – experience will be considered in lieu of formal qualifications.

What are Entrepreneurial Skills (optional)?2022-04-26T22:10:38+01:00

This is a course which gives you insight into how to think differently and by doing so observe opportunities which may exist in business. You will have the chance to take part in various workshops as part of into the Junior Achievement Ireland programme if you so wish. This is also an optional extra course.

Are Foundation level English, Maths and LCA accepted?2022-04-26T22:08:17+01:00

Yes, Foundation level English, Maths and LCA are accepted but please be aware that they may not satisfy the Maths requirement for progression Munster Technological University (MTU).

What will I do about Work Experience?2022-04-26T22:09:44+01:00

Work Experience will be scheduled for a two-week block. You will be given an induction and information regarding this when you start.

What can I do after this course? Guidance sessions will be available in the first term.2022-04-26T22:12:25+01:00

  • Bachelor of Business Studies (MTU) – Year 1 you can apply through the CAO or through the CCPS (Cork Colleges Progression Scheme).

What can I do to satisfy MTU’s Maths requirement?2022-04-26T22:08:45+01:00

The college offers a course in Level 5 QQI Maths in the evenings (at an extra cost). Information regarding this course will be available from the Career Guidance Counsellors once you commence as a student.

What languages are offered (optional)?2022-04-26T22:10:16+01:00

The languages offered are German (QQI-Level 4) and Chinese. Assessment is by means of continuous assessment. Studying a language is optional.

What is the cost of the course?2022-04-26T22:12:51+01:00

€300 made up of €250 Student Services Fee + €50 QQI* Fee

* All students who are holders of a Medical Card are exempt from paying the €50 exam charge.
