Cork Lifelong Learning Festival – What is a University of the Third Age?
April 1, 2020 @ 11:00 am - 1:00 pm
A U3A is a group who come together for a greater understanding of life. Third age does not refer to a numerical age. It is the time we can do those things which we hadn’t the time for earlier in life. U3A members organise their own activities, an opportunity for listening, learning and understanding. U3A began in France in 1974. Age Action introduced U3A to Ireland and today has over 30 U3A’s in groups throughout the country. One off event – but hopefully leading to the establishment of a regular group/s in the Cork area.
